  • Groundwater modelling
    • EarthFX staff have completed hundreds of groundwater flow and contaminant transport numerical models.  These models range from local-scale, steady-state flow models to regional-scale transient models with coupled groundwater/surface-water interaction.  Modelling procedures are fully linked with the database.  
  • Advanced Data Analysis
    • Integrating maps and databases for advanced hydrogeological analysis is a common requirement for groundwater studies.  Using advanced graphical techniques and state-of-the-art software, we are able to create detailed three-dimensional geologic models that are linked to the borehole database. 
    • Advanced geostatistical methods are used to interpolate these data.
    • Visualization of the geologic model and the well data.  This includes plan-view maps, cross sections in any orientation and 3-D views.
  • Geophysical Data Analysis
    • Geophysical logging is an effective means of rapidly establishing the geological structure at new or existing wells.  EarthFX offers advanced multi-dimensional analysis and management of data, plus access to our library of proprietary custom analysis functions.

As effective data management systems require some degree of customization, training is an integral component of our services. Training is offered on a private or classroom basis, with a one-day course leading participants through the use of our SiteFX software system.  Similarly, a two-day training course is offered to introduce new users (or refresh existing users) to VIEWLOG.   For more information, contact us.

Communications

Service depends on communication.  In addition to phone lines, the following communication channels are maintained by EarthFX to properly serve our clients:
  • Virtual Base of Operations and Virtual Private Networking - Each new project is organized and implemented in an open manner on our central server.  Using Virtual Private Networking (VPN) technology, we can provide all parties with secure access to that project directory.  Our goal is to share data.  This allows any user with Internet access to view that directory as if it were another hard drive on their local computer.
  • World Wide Web and FTP Site Access - EarthFX maintains a web site at http://www.earthfx.com for information distribution.  Password protected portions of our web site can be used to limit access, yet facilitate information transfer.
  • Internet Conferencing - We maintain a full-time Microsoft Netmeeting access line to allow clients to call us over the Internet.  The advantage: application sharing and conferencing. Using this service, we can perform the following:
    • Jointly work on a document or spreadsheet
    • Provide a remote software training session
    • Provide a remote PowerPoint presentation
